Swiss Steak Dinner

1/4 c. Flour 1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut into pieces
1 Tbsp. Oil 1-28 oz can diced tomatoes with juices
2 Tbsp. water 1 small can green chilies
1 onion, sliced 5 carrots, cut into chunks
5 potatoes, cubed
2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Roll meat in flour, salt and pepper. Brown in Dutch Oven with oil. Add tomatoes and onions. Cover meat with chilies and bring to a boil. replace lid and bake 30 min. Add potatoes and carrots. Cover again and cook for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until done to taste. Combine cornstarch and water. Stir into juices until thickened to taste.

We really didn't care for this meal. We think it is because we enjoy the beef stew so much. But it was worth trying.
